Ashley Reid

Today's WOD was challenging for me. I think my time was about 9 minutes. I was happy with my shoulder press progress, however (65 lbs max, I think).

Ashley, time was 9:30 and you should be very happy with your shoulder press. Not a max thou, it will be much more!! Making great progress and getting stronger every week. Awesome Work!!

Kathleen

Ashley, your overhead squats were awesome! Even though it was tough for you, your picture tells it all. Your time on this WOD was great too! Both you and Brigid inspire me to continue trying this one!

The overhead squats were very difficult for me, it seems I have no flexibility in my shoulders and back, so I could not get down low enough into the squat position. I will keep trying however.

World Class Fitness in 100 words

  • Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. Regularly learn and play new sports!
