CrossFit in the early days was this frontier effort to find the fittest human being by employing a mix of weightlifting, gymnastics and conditioning mixed into every combination imagined. It was fun, partly because no one knew the endpoint!
Soon though athletes figured out that the shortest path to improvement was to maximize strength and efficiency on the lifts. Once that was played out, athletes then did the same with gymnastics. By 2015 any elite crossfitter was also an elite weightlifter and gymnast. Only a few of the elites though have figured out how to fundamentally grow their engine, partly because the Open process filtered out the need to have a big engine if you were strong and bodyweight-efficient.
This program builds that massive engine. Within 4 weeks, you will see significant improvement in your cardiovascular output on the rower and/or Skierg which will directly transfer to improved performance on CrossFit-style WODs. We’ll huddle on pacing strategies before every workout. Expect to hit 6-8 monostructural variations each designed to build upon each other resulting in PR’s on most if not all distances.
