Fundamental gymnastics strength is arguably the hardest asset to obtain in Crossfit culture. This program provides supplemental gymnastics work to compliment your existing CrossFit workouts. CrossFit gymnastics skills include Pull-ups, Muscle-ups, Handstand Push-ups, and Pistol Squats. This supplemental programming will include strength, skill, mobility and muscle endurance work based on the athlete’s goals.
- Gymnastics Strength example: getting that first pull up!
- Gymnastics Skill examples: improving your kipping swing, timing during muscle up transition, developing the kipping hspu.
- Gymnastics Mobility example: Sometimes our bodies don’t yet have the flexibility and/or mobility to perform a certain skill i.e. does your ankle have enough flexion to do a pistol squat?
- Gymnastics Muscle Endurance examples: maybe you have the skill of kipping pull-ups but are you struggling to string together larger sets during metcons under fatigue?
